Job Overview 

HOUSEKEEPING ASSOCIATE

The housekeeping associate is responsible for cleaning the hotel bedrooms, bathrooms, and Public Areas, ensuring that sufficient linen is available for daily operations and might also be required to complete additional cleaning tasks in the Back of House.

Main Duties

Room

Attendant

  • Clean hotel rooms to required standards and by required deadlines

  • Complete regular cleaning routines

  • Change bed linen and towels

  • Make beds

  • Dusting and polishing furniture 

  • Clean bathrooms 

  • Replace stock of guest supplies 

  • Restock equipment and mini bar

Linen

Porter

  • Ensure the delivery of clean linen to designated areas in the hotel along with the collection of soiled linen

  • Check linen cupboards on a regular basis and ensure they are maintained in a tidy, organized manner and fully stocked 

  • Keep the service areas clean and tidy

  • Return damaged linen, ensuring it is accounted for by following required procedure

  • Pushing and pulling of linen trolleys throughout the hotel

Public Area

Cleaner

  • Clean designated public areas of the hotel to required standards and by required deadlines

  • Complete regular cleaning routines

  • Replace stock of supplies and equipment 

  • Report anything which may be considered a Health and Safety hazard 

Essential

  • Ability to carry out manual tasks 

  • Flexibility to work variable shifts

  • Ability work alone and in a team

  • Cleaning skills

  • Ability to work under pressure 

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Respect for guests’ privacy

  • Polite and helpful manner when dealing with guests and team members
